Kristin s Friends Inc was founded in 1999 by Todd and Julie Ruprecht in remembrance of their daughter Kristin who passed away at the age of 8 from an anaplastic astrcytoma brain tumor on Dec. 14, 1997. Kristin was always helping others thru out her life, even when facing radiation treatments and 9 months of chemo she would comfort others facing less. During our 13 months of hospital visits, therapy, hospice we realized how difficult it sometimes is to find help when you need it - we formed Kristin s Friends to help families going thru the same types of ordeals. NO REQUEST IS IGNORED!! We have paid deductibles, rent for families getting evicted while trying to take care of a very ill child, supplied both laptops to hospital kids and pc s to ones at home for kids who may not be able to write any longer, have a Christmas party for kids stuck in the hospital over the holidays, and much, much more! We are strictly volunteer - our only expenses are a phone and pc. Every penny goes to the kids - we have no employees!! We also can provide assistance in helping families with advice and counseling. With the help of our 3rd board member, Kristin s grandma Dolly Ruprecht, our decisions are quick and help is immediate... however our funds deplete quickly and any help would be greatly appreciated!
