The Catholic Charities Bureau of Jacksonville Regional Office, Diocese of St Augustine, provides: 1) Emergency Assistance Program to help with rent, mortgage, deposits, utilities, bus tickets, housing counseling and food. Clients income must be within 125% of Federal poverty guidelines; 2) Refugee Resettlement helps refugees and Cuban/Haitian entrants and families prior to and after arrival in US to find housing and employment, plus helps in completing documentation and offers other services to assist with settlement; 3) Adoption Program provides pre and post adoption services for families and acts as an intermediary between adult adoptees and birth parents seeking a connection, and the adoption program provides home-studies by a licensed clinical social worker. A sliding scale fee is available for adoptions and no fee for other programs.
