The Section 8 housing choice voucher program is a way the County can help you with rental costs. It may help you afford a better place to live, or if you like where you are living now and your unit can pass inspection, it may help you pay for your rent. Either way, the Housing Assistance Program pays the landlord part of your monthly rent. You pay 30% at minimum of your adjusted monthly income for rent and utilities. Hours of operation: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
