About Rural Communities Resource Center
The Rural Communities Resource Center was founded in 1983 by a group of young women with small children who were isolated from each other and from human and supportive services. The mission statement is: The Rural Communities Resource Center is a grassroots nonprofit organization in Northeast Colorado. The Resource Center provides education, advocacy, support to create systems change and develop programs that promote the physical, emotional, and economic health of our community. The goal is economic self-sufficiency and self-determination for residents in Northeast Colorado.
