Description:The Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) is a new initiative available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The purpose is to provide prevention assistance to households who are homeless or who would otherwise become homeless-many due to the economic crisis. Hours:8:00 am-4:30 pm, Mon-Fri Intake procedure:Dial 2-1-1 for initial screening and intake Eligibility: All applicants must live within the city limits of Montgomery, Alabama and: 1. Loss of employment income within the past 12 months from a layoff, reduction in work hours, or dismissal for reasons that does not disqualify the person for unemployment benefits resulted in a loss of household income. 2. Household income must be at or below 50% of Area Median Income as published by HUD: 1 Person = $20,200 2 Person = $23,100 3 Person = $25,950 4 Person = $28,850 5 Person = $31,150 6 Person = $33,450 7 Person = $35,750 8 Person = $38,1000 3.
