Eligibility:Low-Income, living in the City of Huntsville Area served:Huntsville city Services:Electric Bill Payment Assistance, Food Pantries, Gas Bill Payment Assistance, Heating Fuel Bill Payment Assistance, Rent Payment Assistance Overview:A local volunteer based church cooperative combine their resources to provide emergency financial assistance to those in need in the Huntsville area. Callers needing assistance call during designated days and time. If eligible, the volunteers will call back the same day to schedule an interview. HAP takes walk-ins for emergency food assistance on Mon, Wed., and Fri from 1:00 pm to 3:30pm. HAP is located next door to First Baptist Church on Governor s Drive, enter St. Clair Street entrance across from Big Spring Manor Nursing Home. Site hours:Rent and Utility assistance requests need to call Wed or Thur between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm for an appointment. Emergency food assistance requests can walk-in Mon, Wed, or Fri between 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm only.
